As the foremost Chaplin authority and as the music director for the "Chaplin Estate", Timothy Brock has restored the original Chaplin's scores for Modern Times, City Lights, The Kid, The Circus, A Woman of Paris, a few shorts and finally The Gold Rush. This scores are of course his signature pieces.
Born in Seattle, composer and conductor, Mr Brock is a recognized authority in Music of the XX Century, with a special attention to the music of D. Shostakovich and the composers from the "Entartete Musik" period: he has given the American premiere, and sometimes world premiere, of many works by authors like Ullman, Haasa, Schulhoff, and Shostakovich himself, whose famous score for the movie "New Babylon" Mr Brock has restored for Boosey&Hawkes.
But besides restoring original scores, Mr Brock is a fantastic author and his list of compositions includes music written for masterpieces of the silent movies like:

Timothy Brock is a regular guest of the major orchestras worldwide: New York Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Teatro Massimo Palermo, the Orchestras of Lille, Bordeaux, Lyon, Strasbourg, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, Staatstheatre Braunschweig, Berner Symphonie-Orchester, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Milwakee Symphony Orchestra, ORF Radio at the Vienna Konzerthaus, Orchestre de l'Ile de France, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, BBC Symphony Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony and he has a residence at the Orchestra National de Lyon, Vienna Konzerthaus, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, with several projects every season.
During the last months Brock appeared twice with the New York Philharmonic, made his debut at the Salle Pleyel and with the BBC Scottish Symphony, returned to Lyon three times, presented for the first time Chaplin's scores in Estonia, continued his touring Chaplin project in Holland with the Het Brabant Orkest for the third year in a row; during the next season will debut at the Zarzuela Theatre in Madrid, in Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia and will conduct two new productions of Prokofiev's "Alexandre Nevskij" and "Ivan the Terrible" at Citè de la Musique and Lyon.
