Alexandre received a fantastic review of his recent recital at Le Poisson Rouge in the New York Times. Anthony Tommisini, chief music critic, described his five Scarlatti sonatas as “exquisite, crisp and beautifully textured”, and noted that the normally informal venue audience were “exceptionally quiet and palpably absorbed” throughout the evening.

    Pražák Quartet

The Pražák Quartet welcome the release of two new discs this month, both recorded exclusively for Praga Digitals. The purest version of the seven sermons, Joseph Haydn: The Seven Last Words of our saviour on the cross demonstrates the Quartet's finesse with the great Classical master's intricate and devoted style, while Arnold Schoenberg: Pierrot Lunaire offers a fine contrast in genre and substance, allowing the Quartet to express a more modern vibe by channeling Schoenberg's variety of musical influences to create a rich and dramatic atmosphere.

Both are available to purchase at the Harmonia Mundi Store.
