Béla Quartet

BIOGRAPHY

Founded in 2006 by four musicians from the National Higher Conservatory of Music of Lyon and Paris – Julien Dieudegard and Frédéric Aurier, violin, Julian Boutin, alto, Luc Dedreuil, cello – the Béla Quartet champions the repertoire of the 20th century as well as the work of contemporary composers.

In 2013, the quartet released two records. One was dedicated to a piece co-written by Thierry Blondeau and Daniel D’Adamo, Folding and Unfolding from the Cuitcatl Collection on the label La Buissonne. The second record, Métamorphoses Noctures, was dedicated to the music of Ligeti and was released by AEON. The latter received universal critical acclaim (ffff Télérama, Luister 10 Award, Gramophone Critic’s Choice Award,…).
