Carsten Wittmoser has worked in prestigious opera houses all over the world, such as Staatsoper Berlin, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Komische Oper Berlin, State Opera Munich, Teatro Real de Madrid, Monte Carlo Opera, Seattle Opera House, Detroit Opera House, Opera de Bogota, and Opera de Bellas Artes Mexico City. His operatic repertoire includes Rocco and Pizarro Fidelio, Don Basilio Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Escamillo Carmen, Scarpia Tosca, the Villains Tales of Hoffmann and the title role Der Fliegende Holländer. Recent performances include Conte d’Almaviva Le Nozze di Figaro for Opera Carolina and Kurwenal Tristan and Isolde at The Metropolitan Opera. Future engagements include his return to Carnegie Hall with the American Symphony Orchestra singing Luigi Nono’s Intolerance and he will also be returning to cover at The Metropolitan Opera in performances of Das Rheingold and Die Walküre. He will also be making his debut at Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona as Telramund Lohengrin.
