BIOGRAPHY

A 2015 Ernst von Siemens Musikstiftung Composer Prize winner, Christian Mason (b.1984) is enjoying a prolific career with an array of commissions from prestigious institutions. His works are published by Breitkopf & Härtel.  Among recent compositions,  ‘Man Made’ (on poems by David Harsent) was premiered by the Philharmonia Orchestra as part of a ‘Music of Today’ portrait in May 2018. Future commissions include new works for Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, hr-sinfonieorchester, Arditti Quartet and such ensembles as Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, Ensemble Recherche (Freiburg) for the Ultraschall in Berlin (2019) and Ensemble Itinéraire (Paris).
