BIOGRAPHY

A 2015 Ernst von Siemens Musikstiftung Composer Prize winner, Christian Mason (b.1984) is enjoying a prolific career with an array of commissions from prestigious institutions. His works are published by Breitkopf & Härtel.  Having recently completed ‘Aimless Wonder’ for München Kammerorchester, he is currently collaborating with writer Chris Goode on a new opera for the Royal Opera House. Future projects include ‘Man Made’ (setting David Harsent) for the Philharmonia ‘Music of Today’ series in May 2018; a new work for Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and Christoph Eschenbach (2019); as well as new ensemble works for Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, Ensemble Recherche (Freiburg) and Ensemble Itinéraire (Paris).
