Spanish baritone Josep-Ramon Olivé is the winner of the 2017 Gold Medal at Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London where he completed both a Singing Masters and the Opera Course with Professor Rudolf Piernay. He was awarded First Prize, as well as the Audience Prize, at the 2015 Handel Singing Competition and the same year he was nominated for ‘Oxford Lieder Young Artist’, together with pianist Ben-San Lau. Upcoming engagements include a tour with Le Jardin des Voix, directed by William Christie and Mercutio in Gounod’s Romeo et Juliette at Teatro Calderón de Valladolid (Spain). Josep-Ramon has been selected as ECHO Rising Stars artist for 2018/19 season and will make his debut at Teatre del Liceu in 2018.
