A graduate of the Opéra National de Paris' Atelier Lyrique, Julie Mathevet's coloratura is particularly delightful in French and Mozartian repertoire.
Opera highlights include Eglé La Dispute by Benoît Mernier, Zerlina Don Giovanni and Lydia Fauré’s Pénélope at La Monnaie, Servilia La Clemenza di Tito at Teatro de La Fenice and Queen of the Night Die Zauberflöte at Opera de Massy in Paris. Julie has several trademark roles including Yniold Pelleas et Melisande which she has sung on several stages, including the Opéra National de Paris, Verbier Festival, Malmö Opera and last season with the Cleveland Orchestra and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra at the Sydney Opera House. Further highlights include Ariadne auf Naxos with the Cleveland Orchestra, singing Naiad and covering Zerbinetta, and her debut with the New York Philharmonic singing in Prisoner of the State, a new opera by David Lang. Julie also covered the role of Ygraine in Le Silence des Ombres by Benjamin Attahir at La Monnaie in Brussels.
Upcoming engagements include a Donizetti recital in Pessac, France in September, and Exsultate Jubilate Mozart at the Cathédrale Saint-André in Bordeaux.
