BIOGRAPHY

A graduate of the Opéra National de Paris' Atelier Lyrique, Julie Mathevet's coloratura is particularly delightful in French and Mozartian repertoire. Dedicated to constant artistic exploration, she collaborates with the biggest names in stage direction and is equally and naturally attracted to atypical projects and contemporary creation. Opera highlights include Eglé in La Dispute by Benoît Mernier, Zerlina in Don Giovanni and Lydia in Fauré’s Pénélope at La Monnaie, Servilia in La Clemenza di Tito at Teatro de La Fenice and Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte at Opera de Massy in Paris, amongst others. Julie has been invited to sing Yniold in Pelleas et Melisande on many stages, including the Opéra National de Paris, Verbier Festival, Malmö Opera and this season with the Cleveland Orchestra and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra at the Sydney Opera House. This Autumn, she returns to Malmö Opera to sing Miss Ellen in Lakmé.
