Quatuor Van Kuijk have launched their new Mozart CD, released for Alpha Classics label on 11 October!

Following a debut album dedicated to Mozart's Quartets, a second to French music (Debussy, Ravel, and Chausson), and finally a third to works by Schubert, Quatuor Van Kuijk returns to its first love with a recording of two further Mozart Quartets.

This recording forms the second part of the triptych that will consist of three volumes devoted to the six quartets dedicated to Haydn: Quartet no.14 in G major, K. 387, the first of these six opuses, was composed in 1782 as Mozart arrived on the Viennese music scene; Quartet no.15 in D minor K. 421, the second opus, is the only to have been written in a minor mode and was completed in 1783, while his wife Constance was giving birth.
