Jonathon Heyward announced as Chief Conductor Designate of the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie!

 

We are delighted to announce that Jonathon Heyward has been appointed as designated Chief Conductor of the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie!

Jonathon will begin his position in January 2021, representing a major landmark in his already flying career. He will join the orchestra aged only twenty-eight the same age as Andris Nelsons when he began his three-year period in charge of the orchestra. Recently described as ‘one to watch’ by the Daily Telegraph, Jonathon has already received critical acclaim for his work as the Hallé Orchestra’s Assistant Conductor and guest conducting engagements in Europe, Asia and the United States.
