This Friday, 28 June, at 21:00, conductor Julien Leroy takes the helm of Ensemble Intercontemporain at Le Centquatre in Paris, for an exciting project presenting works at the forefront of the contemporary scene by six student composers of the 2018 ManiFeste Festival Academy.

ManiFeste, a festival academy running from 17 – 29 June in association with Ensemble Intercontemporain, provides young composers with the opportunity to attend masterclasses and workshops as well as have their works performed by the world-leading ensemble as part of two chamber and ensemble concerts that culminate the Academy.

The six young composers, selected by Marko Nikodijevic at the end of last year’s term, are: Jaehyuck Choi (South Korea), Francesco Ciurlo (Italy), Simone Corti (Italy), Jug Marković (Serbia), Benjamin Scheuer (Germany), and Francisco Uberto (Argentina).
