Christian Mason is invited as guest composer and mentor on the prestigious Hong Kong Composers Scheme
Christian mason will mentor a handful of local talented composers on the 2023/24 hong kong composer scheme
The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra is partnering with The Robert H. N. Ho Family Hong Kong Foundation for the next edition of the Hong Kong Composers Scheme. This year-long programme invites talented local composers to mentored by and work alongside an acclaimed international composer; the composer this year will be Christian Mason. By helping these budding artists to refine and enhance their skills in orchestral writing, Christian will help to provide a platform for them. The composers will also have the honour of their works being performed by the Hong Kong Philharmonic and one from the group will also be commissioned to write a new work for the orchestra.
