Diana Soh premieres her work for solo organ at the Philharmonie de Paris

Over the next week, DIANA SOH WILL PReMIERE HER WORK, ‘On off and on again’, FOR SOLO ORGAN IN PARIS, AND HER PIECE, ‘ALL THAT WE SEE’, WILL MAKE ANOTHER APPEARANCE IN BERLIN

Commissioned by the Philharmonie de Paris, Diana’s new work for solo organ, ‘On off and on again’ will be premiered by Karol Mossakowski tomorrow afternoon in the Grande Salle de Pierre Boulez. Alongside this piece, Mossakowski will perform a range of works by other great recent or contemporary composers, including Olivier Messiaen, Thomas Adès and Arvo Pärt.

Later in the week, Diana Soh’s 2017 work for two pianos and percussion, ‘All that we see’ will be performed at the Berlin Konzerthaus with Berlin Piano Percussion as part of their ‘Chimeras’ series. The name of this concert series comes from Greek mythology, referring to the way in which chimera is a hybrid organism made from many different species. The word can also mean illusion or hallucination and so, the Berlin Piano Percussion reflect this obscurity in two concerts of works that reflect this idea musically, providing the audience with a vision of different realities.
