After the success of their world re-creation of La Sémiramis de Destouches in 2018, Les Ombres continues their exploration of the unpublished French repertoire in Ambronay. Superintendent and music master at the Royal Chapel under Louis XV, Charles-Hubert Gervais (1671-1744) composed works for choir and orchestra strongly influenced by Italian music. Some of his great motets dialogue here with a masterpiece by Vivaldi, his superb Magnificat .
