Victor Jacob makes his debut with the Belgian National Orchestra

VICTOR JACOB will make his debut with the Belgian National Orchestra with an an extravangaza concert for all audiences, performing the music by Filipe Raposo ‘Orchestrascope’

In this family concert at the Big Bang Festival, Zonzo Compagnie explores the early days of cinema. It was a time when the discovery of moving images and the excitement of special effects were at their peak. However, the challenge of adding sound to films persisted. Musicians, orchestras, and foley artists were essential for live performances, and sometimes, actors provided the dialogue.

In "Orchestrascope," video artist Erato Tzavara and composer/musician Filipe Raposo handpicked early cinema films, giving them a fresh touch with new music. Filipe Raposo, who also performed on the piano, was joined by the Belgian National Orchestra and foley artist Rémi Decker to revive these classic films. What sets this show apart is its interactive aspect, where the audience becomes part of the enchanting fusion of image and sound, engaging in a playful dialogue with the performers. Zonzo Compagnie continues to push the boundaries of sound, music, and audience participation in this innovative production.
