BIOGRAPHY

Whilst a student at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris, Romain Guyot was selected by Claudio Abbado to join the European Union Youth Orchestra, and spent three years as Principle Clarinet. In 1996 he won the prestigious 'Young Concert Artists International Auditions' in New York, which propelled his career forward with subsequent appearances around Europe, the United States of America, South America, Japan and Korea. Romain Guyot is the current Principal Clarinet of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, with whom he recorded a Mozart CD featuring both the clarinet concerto and quintet in 2012.
