Quatuor Voce release new CD!
Quatuor Voce’s newest CD “Itinérarie” will be released on 28 September.
The recording of "Itinéraire" took place in February 2018 at the TAP in Poitiers, France.
“In the beginning of the 20th century, Béla Bartók and Zoltan Kodaly travelled from village to village in their native Hungary and Romania collecting, transcribing and recording hundreds of popular melodies and songs.
This ethnomusicological work gave birth to masterpieces filled with unique and new sounds and colours. Our wish is to make our own contribution to the grand repertoire available for string quartet by merging music from oral traditions and the art of the string quartet.”
