Wooden Elephant is a contemporary classical string quintet that reimagines classic electronic-based albums, presenting them in their entirety as totally acoustic, long-form contemporary classical concert works.
Wooden Elephant has performed these albums at venues and festivals such as Berlin Konzerthaus, Philharmonie de Paris’ Days Off Festival, London Jazz Festival, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, and Beethovenfest Bonn.
Wooden Elephant, with Radiohead’s permission, released their latest album LANDSCAPES, KNIVES & GLUE – Radiohead’s Kid A Recycled in 2021 to a rapturous response.
“an extraordinarily inventive and imaginative reinterpretation, an aural tour de force”
Oliver Condy, Official Apple iTunes Review
“a wonderfully creative musical translation of a landmark post-rock album, a clever lateral re-creation that showcases the tireless versatility of a masterful string quintet.”
Spell Binding Music, Review
The album has since been featured on Apple TV’s star-studded film ‘Swan Song’, released 17 December 2021, starring Mahershala Ali, Naomie Harris & Glenn Close.
