BIOGRAPHY
Finalist and “Prix Spécial” recipient of the International Besançon Conducting Competition in 2019, which enabled him to make his debut with the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken, French conductor Victor Jacob is establishing himself as one of the most promising young conductors of his generation, at ease in wide range of repertoires (choral, opera, and symphonic).
He has since been invited to conduct the orchestras of his native country: Orchestre National de Lyon, Orchestre Philharmonique de Marseille, Orchestre National de Montpellier, Orchestre Symphonique de Mulhouse, Orchestre National de France, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Orchestre de Chambre de Paris, Orchestre de Chambre National Aquitaine, and Orchestre de Picardie.
Victor Jacob began conducting as a choral conductor before devoting himself fully to the orchestra. He is currently the Music Director of the Orchestre National de Lyon Youth Orchestra and was a Semi-finalist in the 2021 Donatella Flick Conducting Competition.
